There are a lot of Facebook services available in the Android platform. For example, the Facebook application has an element to it where you can add photos to your wall and share them from within the application. This functionality is only possible on the Android 4.3 Kit Kat, however, which is what most users have been getting since the introduction of Facebook on the iPhone. This functionality is only for a while though, as Facebook is working on an official Android app as well. Until then, Facebook has resorted to trying to make its Facebook applications compatible across all of the major mobile OS platforms, with the exception of the older Jelly Bean devices.
To date, the most popular Facebook feature is the Facebook photo album. It allows you to upload the images from your own camera roll and then lets you place them into a virtual photo album for everyone to see. This is great if you are taking photos frequently and want others to be able to view them. However, this feature does not work when you try to edit one of the images. Instead, you are required to download the software from Facebook's site and install it onto your PC or Mac. After that, you can upload the photo to your social network, edit it, and share it as you would any other image.
Another example of Facebook application that has yet to come to the mobile platform is its application for the Facebook friend request. Facebook users can now directly contact another user without sending a friend request first. To do so, you will need to go to the main Facebook application and click on the 'Bot' option. From there, you can type in your friend's email, Facebook ID, and phone number to start the 'Bot' process. Once done, you will see a message on your Facebook profile letting you know that another user wants to contact you via Facebook!
